How was the Nicla bodysuit born?
Ersilia Pagliuca , owner and coordinator of the Clara style team, was at the trade fair in Paris when one of her clients , who had been using Neapolitan underwear for years, made her an urgent request .
Her niece was getting married soon, and she couldn't find the right bodysuit to complement her wedding dress . Panicked, she shopped around dozens of companies, but to no avail . What was the problem? Her wedding dress had a low back , and any underwear underneath was visible, making it completely unsuitable for the occasion.
“Will you be able to make my niece's dream come true? Everything is in your hands.” And it is there, from a person's concrete need , from the desire to have underwear that would accompany her on the most important day of her life, that Nicla was created . A low-cut garment , clean in its simplicity and essentiality and suitable for any type of dress or garment.
Ersilia , after taking action, made the bodysuit and sent it to the bride-to-be's aunt as quickly as possible , without ever having met her beforehand . They tried the item together , and there was no longer any doubt: she had finally found the ideal underwear for her day . A few minutes later, Ersilia received a call from her aunt, in which she recounted her niece's excitement as she tried on the bridal underwear: her eyes lit up and a smile graced her face. Nicla was born from the happiness of a woman who has realized her dream.
Nicla: What are the main technical features?
The Nicla bodysuit , with its very low back , features soft, pre-formed foam cups with underwire , which guarantee maximum support for your décolleté . It is a smooth garment, equipped with an external elastic and an internal lining , which ensure greater support on the abdomen , despite the deep neckline.
Both the hooks (soft and therefore not at all uncomfortable) and the underwire are nickel-free , made with hypoallergenic and clinically tested materials . Available from sizes 2 to 6 , with cups ranging from B to E , it is made in the following colours : black , cream and skin .
The unique feature, beyond the plunging neckline , is the garment's multifunctionality : the suspenders can be worn for four different purposes . The first is tied around the neck , for the so-called Halter neckline. Suitable for all wedding and formal dresses (and not only) with plunging necklines that require underwear that is invisible to the eye but offers just the right amount of support.
The second use is the V-cross , which allows for greater support when there is traction on both sides of the back. The underarm area is perfectly wrapped and therefore supported.
Then we have the last two fastenings : the typical bra one (for greater support and cleavage) and the softer one (ideal for plunging necklines). Nicla is suitable for any type of breast : if you have a small cup size, don't worry, it has an internal support for the application of a crescent, useful for filling the bodysuit's volume and enhancing your curves.
What body type does Nicla suit?
Which dress best suits our body type? Which one best enhances our curves? As you know, there are many body types , which are defined as follows:
- Pear body type : refers to all body types that have a narrower upper body than a softer lower body;
- Apple Body Shape : refers to all body types that feature large breasts and greater roundness around the abdomen;
- Hourglass body shape : refers to silhouettes that have a thin, very thin waist, with hips and shoulders of the same width;
- Rectangle body shape : waist, shoulders, and hips are the same width and breadth. There are therefore no particular differences between the lower and upper body;
- Inverted Triangle Body Shape : This is the opposite of the pear shape, meaning the upper body is rounder and softer than the lower body.
The Nicla is best suited to triangle, apple, and rectangle body shapes due to its characteristics : it enhances your curves and provides total comfort and well-being. Other body types are excluded because:
- The hourglass figure has a waist that's too narrow . Since the Nicla has a deep neckline, it risks feeling very soft on the abdomen and not being able to fill out its volume. This lack of protection is felt by the woman and could cause her to feel uneasy. The Domitilla bodysuit, on the other hand, is ideal for this body type;
- With its very high leg, it's not suitable for a pear-shaped body type, as the hips may be more prominent, creating flabby hips that could appear under the bodysuit and create an unsightly effect under a wedding dress. The Nina bodysuit is ideal for this body type.
